    Dear Participant,

We invite you to participate in our research study. This study is being conducted by Dr. Melike Baykal-Gürsoy, Dr. Predrag Spasojevic, and Dr. Pernille Hemmer, faculty members at Rutgers University. The objective of this study is to conduct research to examine the goals and the resource allocation strategies of populations. To this end, the participants will be asked to participate in a multi-agent immersive simulation. Anyone can participate in this study regardless of age, gender, race, etc.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. You may refuse to participate, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. There are no risks or harm associated with your participation. You will not be compensated for your participation, but your participation will assist in advancing research on understanding adversarial behavior under uncertainty.

It will take you approximately 10 to 20 minutes to complete a set of simulations. Your interactions to the game are anonymous. Data collected in this study will be stored on a secure server at the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and only researchers conducting this study will have access to it. Because your actions in the simulations are anonymous, no reference will be made in any reports that could link you to the study. If a report of this study is published, or the results are presented at a professional conference, only summary, group results will be stated.

If you have any questions about the research study, you can contact Dr. Melike Baykal-Gürsoy at 848-445-5465 or by email at gursoy@soe.rutgers.edu.
